First round:

Sunday, June 21 at 17:00 CET live streaming on Tallinn Guitar Festival’s Facebook page.

Awards will be announced:

Monday, June 22 via the festivals Facebook page. Winners will be contacted personally.

Regulations:

First round

  • The competition is meant for advanced students and professionals up to the age of 35 years.
  • For registration please fill in the registration form and pay the participation fee.
  • Registration will take place until the 19th of June.
  • In the first round you need to perform up to a 15 minute long program of your own choice. Please send the youtube link of your video and the scores in PDF format latest by 19th of June to tallinnguitarfestival@gmail.com. To the same email also add a copy of your identification document. (Protection of Personal Data: The data collected will be processed in accordance with applicable legislation, and in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679)
  • The video should be high quality (720p or 1080p) and may not be edited and the camera can not be stopped during the taping.
  • Performers face and hands must be clearly seen on the recording.
  • Pieces may not be repeated in the following round.
  • To prove that the recording is meant solely for this competition, the performer must introduce themselves in the beginning of the video and state that it is meant for Tallinn Guitar Festival competition.
  • Applications and videos that do not meet the requirements will not be able to enter the competition.
  • Finalist and order of performance will be announced on Tallinn Guitar Festival Facebook page on the evening of 20th of June.

Final round

  • Maximum of 5 participants will be admitted to the final round.
  • Final round - 25 minutes program of free choice, at least two pieces with different styles and character.
  • Please send the scores for the jury to tallinnguitarfestival@gmail.com by 12am (CET) on the 21st of June.
  • The performance will take place live over the internet and will be streamed on Tallinn Guitar Festivals Facebook page and via Eurostrings channels.
  • The participant is obliged to guarantee the sound and visual quality of the live streaming from their home or any other freely chosen location.
  • The winner will be announced on the following day via the Facebook page of Tallinn Guitar Festival.
  • The jury’s decision is final.

Prizes:

  • 1st  prize: Eurostrings Artist 2020/2021 title and tour (approximately 7 festivals, each will pay fee, travels, accommodation, meals and free entry to the all festival events + one masterclass from a worldwide renowned master).
  • 2nd prize: 1000 €
  • 3rd prize: 750 €

All the finalists will be recorded and broadcasted by Estonian Radio
