Emmanuel Sowicz

The Chilean press has described Emmanuel Sowicz (1992) as “the next star of the guitar” (Radio Beethoven FM). Recent engagements include performances at Abbey Road Studios, St Martin-in-the-Fields, Kings Place, Canterbury Festival, and a televised concert as soloist with the National Youth Symphony Orchestra of Chile under maestro Maximiano Valdés.

Born in London to British and Chilean parents, Emmanuel graduated from the University of Chile in 2014 with Ernesto Quezada. He later received a scholarship to study under Michael Lewin at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he completed his Master of Arts and Advanced Diploma with Distinction, the DipRAM award for an outstanding final recital, and the Dove Prize for an outstanding studentship. He also studied a Postgraduate course with Marco Tamayo at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg.

Emmanuel performs on a 2001 Matthias Dammann guitar generously loaned to him by David Russell.

  • 2017 – First Prize and Audience Award at the prestigious XLIV Dr. Luis Sigall International Music Competition in Viña del Mar
  • 2018 – First Prize by a unanimous decision at the London International Guitar Competition

Julia Trintschuk

Julia Trintschuk (*1997) began learning the guitar at the age of 4 with her father Anatolij Trintschuk. At the early age of 6 she became a student of Prof. Mario Sicca in Stuttgart. Later she studied with Martin Wiedmann, Prof. Johannes Monno, Ivo and Sofia Kaltchev and Mateus dela Fonte, in whose class she graduated in 2018 with distinctions. During this time she received many prizes in international and national guitar and music competitions and had masterclasses with Pepe Romero, Scott Tennant, William Kanengiser, Matthew Greif, John Dearman, Johannes Tonio Kreusch, Dimitri Illarionov, Celino Romero, Lito Romero, Judicael Perroy, Gerald Garcia, Dale Kavanagh, Roland Dyens and other important personalities of the international classical guitar community. Since 2017 Julia is a Savarez-Artist and her debut CD „Giocosa“ was published in the same year. Julia launched her performing career at the age of 16 with the well-known "Concierto de Aranjuez“ for guitar and orchestra by Joaquin Rodrigo and has played as a soloist and chamber musician in places all over the world such as Mexico, Russia, Montenegro, Poland, Slovakia, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Germany and the Netherland.

Her latest achievements in 2018 are:

  • First prize at the Andres Segovia Guitar Competition 2019 (Spain)
  • third prize at the International Guitar Competition Zagreb (Croatia)
  • the third prize at the International Guitar Competition Zory (Poland)
  • first prize at the International Guitar Competition Tivat (Montenegro)
